To create a new privilege, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter a unique privilege code. The value you select cannot duplicate any existing codes. In the next field enter a description that identifies the privilege you are creating. The activity log dropdown menu is used to identify which users to display in the activity log report. All users with a functional role that has that assigned privilege appears on the report. The "Validate IP Address" field is used to add an extra layer of security within SPMS. It is used primarily in the registration module to restrict SPMS access to computers from a specific IP address. The IP address is defined in the system parameters page.

To update existing privileges, change the value of any field in the area provided. You cannot change the value of the code once created. Click the "Save" button to save your changes.
