If you are arriving by car follow the instructions below (see the map). There are three ways to reach ELETTRA:
Coming from the highway A4 (out of Trieste
Lisert exit).
From the highway exit go straight through the freeway leading to Trieste. At
the end of it, near the AREA Science Park, follow
the road going down to the city and after a kilometer turn right. At the stop,
turn left following the direction Basovizza - confine di Stato (Border) along
the road S.S. 14.
Before Basovizza village, you will find the indications to turn left to reach
ELETTRA. Then, after 200 m there is the parking area; at its end you will find
the main entrance.
Coming from the road called "Costiera" (S.S.

If you are coming to Trieste from the coastal road you have to cross the
centre of the city. From there, follow the indications to the university and

There is another way to get to ELETTRA from the
centre of the city.
Follow the street near the sea and then you will find the city freeway. At its
end go straight ahead and after 1 kilometer turn left. At the stop, turn left
following the direction Basovizza - confine di Stato (Border) along the street
