JACoW Team Meeting 2017 | 28 November - 1 December | Beijing, China

The 2017 JACoW Team Meeting was hosted by IHEP, Beijing, China.

A Team Meeting Working Group, coordinated by Christine Petit-Jean-Genaz , developed this year's programme together with the Board of Directors. Ning Zhao managed the local arrangements and David Button the programme.

Pre-Team Meeting An invitation only pre-team meeting for the JACoW Management, SPMS and Indico developers and super users, was held on Sunday afternoon, 26 November and all day, Monday 27 November. A programme was being developed, and invitees were invited separately.

Visiting China A Visa is required to visit China. Please check out detailed information published here.

Accommodation A block of rooms was reserved at the Holiday Inn Beijing ChangAn West (a 4-star hotel), which is a 15-minute walk from IHEP. Accommodation for the pre-team meeting participants was at the Park Plaza Beijing Wangufjing.

Registration Delegate registration was via an Indico event based at CERN, the result of the JACoW/CERN Project to bring SPMS functionality to Indico. Registration via this Event was available early in September. More information concerning the registration fee is available here.

Programme The TM'17 programme as usual covered not only electronic publication issues, but also the wider field of conference organisation (SPMS, Indico, delegate and exhibitor registration, organisation of OC/SPC meetings, etc.) as well as the very complex IT issues. Attendance was therefore open not only to editors, but to all interested in the above. JACoW Team Members were encouraged to pass on this information to their colleagues on the LOC.

Attendance at Team Meetings Team meetings are organized for team members in line with the JACoW Terms of Reference and Boundary Conditions. Attendance at meetings is a boundary condition for membership of the JACoW Collaboration and publication of conference proceedings on the JACoW site.
