Profiles & Affiliations: Create New ProfileIntroduction Via the screen Scientific Program Administration / Profile Search/Edit / Create New Profile Administrators can create new profiles without entering a username or password. Administrators should take care that all data entered in this way is correct since profiles entered into conference copies of the repository are synchronized out to all instances of the SPMS used by other events. It is a wise precaution to set the system parameter Overall Database Administration / System Parameters / Email / Send Co-author Email to "No" if the administrator is creating contributions with speakers, in the preparatory, confidential phase of organization. This avoids the generation of e-mails to persons for whom new profiles are being created, informing them they are co-authors and inviting them to create accounts. |
